Sweet or Savory Straws

  • 1 package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Work the puff pastry while it is WELL chilled.
  4. Unroll and cut the sheet in half lengthwise. Then cut each 1/2 into 12 equal strips.
  5. Brush with beaten egg.

To make sweet straws:

  1. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and then twist each strip then place on the baking sheet. Continue till all the straws are done.

To make savory straws:

  1. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow the straws to cool before serving.
