A warrant search of accused Will Rogers World Airport shooter Lloyd Buie’s home turned up additional weapons and ammunition.
Police say Buie, 45, killed himself after gunning down 52-year-old Michael Winchester.
Investigators say Buie fired from the fourth floor of a parking garage hitting Winchester once in the chest. Investigators believe Buie was waiting in his pick-up truck for a target.
Inside Buie's home, police found an empty colt .308 caliber rifle box and an empty scope box. A .308 is a long-range round used by hunters and police snipers. Investigators believe Buie shot Winchester from about 50-yards away.
Inside the home, police also found a .22 caliber rifle with its magazine; a 12-gauge shotgun; An empty Springfield XDM Pistol case with pouch, loaders, magazines and grips and 45-caliber bullets.
The search warrant also describes a bullet hole found in the topper of Buie's truck firing out of the truck, but it's unclear if that hole was caused when Buie shot Winchester; when he shot himself; or whether he discharged another round.
We do know Buie quit his job as a ramp agent for Southwest Airlines in April of 2015 after he refused to take an alcohol screening test. An airline spokeswoman said he appeared to be drinking on the job. Court records show since Buie quit, he racked up tens of thousands of dollars in debt.
