Police are releasing little information Sunday about a double homicide in southwest Oklahoma City.

It happened at the Parkview Village Homes located near SW 21 Street and Blackwelder just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said they have no suspects and that it's unclear what led up to the violent deaths. However, one neighbor that News 9 spoke with said it’s just another in a string of shootings in his neighborhood.

“You kind of get used to it after a little while,” he said, wishing to remain anonymous.

Walking through the grounds Sunday morning, though, it's quiet, but when the sun goes down, he said it’s a different atmosphere.

“You hear all kinds of pow, pow, pow, pow, even people when they leave outta here pow pow, pow, pow,” he said.

He said he heard around 10 to 12 gunshots Saturday night near a duplex just across the road from his. Those multiple gunshots brought Oklahoma City police to the complex.

“As officers arrived, they located two males that were deceased apparently suffering from gunshot injuries,” said Oklahoma City police officer Travis Vernier.

Officers responded to a second scene near SW 24 Street and Virginia where they were searching a car, but could not confirm if it was related to the shooting.

“We're still working to determine if that's related to this situation,” said Vernier. “It's not clear at this point.”

This neighbor said he’s seen enough though.

“A few weeks ago, two guys got shot back there and a couple of weeks before that three of them got shot over there,” he said pointing to various areas around the complex.

While he said he doesn't see anything illegal going on during the day, he worries about what nightfall will bring and plans to move.

“I'm not going to be here anymore,” he said. “I’m gonna be outta here pretty soon.”

Police are still not releasing any suspect information or the names of the victims, but they do ask for the public’s help.

If you have any information concerning this crime, you're asked to call the homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200. Callers may remain anonymous.
