Posted: Updated:
PURCELL, Oklahoma -

Hundreds gathered at the First Baptist Church in Purcell to remember a man whose life was cut short Tuesday.

Michael Winchester, 52, was fatally shot Tuesday at the Will Rogers World Airport.

It was standing room only at the church as friends and family honored the life of a man who "always had a smile on his face."

Winchester was a former University of Oklahoma football player and was on the 1985 National Championship team. His son also played at OU and is currently a long snapper for the Kansas City Chiefs.
