A man was arrested after police said he threw large rocks at the windows of Devon Tower in downtown Oklahoma City, causing $70,000 in damage.

According to police, just before 10 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the report of a disturbance at the Devon Tower. Devon security officers had already detained the suspect, 27-year-old Thomas Russell.

The security officers told police that Russell was throwing large rocks at the windows of the building. When security officers confronted him, Russell tried to run away.

Security officers chased after Russell, who reportedly then tried to hit one of the officers with a large rock. That’s when another security officer pepper-sprayed him to get him under control.

Russell was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on complaints of destruction of property, trespassing and disorderly conduct. Police said he caused about $70,000 in damage to the building.
