Crews Battle Fire At NW OKC Apartment Complex

<p>Crews have successfully extinguished a fire at an apartment complex&nbsp;on the northwest side of the metro and rescued two dogs that were trapped inside, Wednesday evening.</p>

Crews have successfully extinguished a fire at an apartment complex on the northwest side of the metro and rescued two dogs that were trapped inside, Wednesday evening.

Firefighters were called to the scene at the Woodscape Apartment complex located in the 4200 block of N. Meridian Ave., just north of NW 39th Expressway. Crews say once on scene they saw large flames shooting from one of the units. In all two apartment units suffered heavy fire damage from due to the fire. Other units may have some smoke/water damage, but that has not been confirmed. The cause still has not been determined.

Two dogs were found during a search of the units and OKC firefighters say they both were revived and are expected to be OK.

No injuries have been reported. Authorities did not have to shut down any roads in the area.
