Senator James Lankford (R-OK) is inviting Oklahomans interested in attending the 2017 Presidential Inauguration to request tickets online.

The 58th Presidential Inauguration will take place on Friday, January 20, 2017. President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States at the Inauguration.

Each U.S. Senate and Congressional Office will receive a small number of tickets for the ceremony.

Tickets available are for standing room only access to the West Lawn of the US Capitol. According to Senator Lankford’s office, Oklahomans interested in attending the inauguration should submit a request on Lankford’s website by Friday, December 16. All submissions will be entered into a lottery; winners will be notified in writing by Wednesday, December 21. Those who do not obtain tickets can still view the Inauguration on giant video screens for spectators along the length of the National Mall.

On Inauguration day, Lankford will host an open house, similar to his weekly “Java with James” reception, for visitors from Oklahoma in his office in the Hart Senate Office Building, Room 316.
