Some middle school students are claiming a man flashed a gun at them while they waited for the school bus Tuesday morning.

Mid-Del Public Schools are now informing all parents at Kerr Middle School about the alleged incident.

Twenty to 30 students were waiting for the bus at the time near Sunnylane Road and SE 44.

“That’s scary because that’s his bus stop,” said Britney King about her little brother’s bus stop.

Oklahoma City police said they questioned the man.

He's works at nearby apartment complex and told an officer it wasn't a real gun but a toy gun he just found in the trash.

The man says in no way did he flash or point the toy at anyone.

Police think it was misunderstanding.

Mid-Del Public Schools are praising the students involved for immediately telling an adult about the incident when they got to school.
