Posted: Updated:

Crews put out a fire in the Tuscany Village Apartments near Rockwell and Wilshire early Tuesday morning.

The fire started when some pillows and other household items placed near the fireplace caught fire, causing a small part of the unit's living room to go up in flames.

Fire, smoke, and water damage is estimated to cost about $10,000.

The family, with two adults and two children, are now without a home. There were no reports of injuries.
