Police Search For Two Armed Robbers In NE OKC

Police searched to no avail for two armed robbers Monday evening in northeast Oklahoma City.

Police were called to a Family Dollar store near NE 23rd and Martin Luther King Avenue in reference to an armed robbery.

Witnesses told police two black males entered the store and demanded cash. At some point, at least one shot was fired in the store and more were fired at the store as they were running away. The suspects stole cash, store items, and an employee's personal property.

One robber was described as about 6 feet tall and was wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans and a green mask. The second robber was described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and wearing a brown mask. Police set up a perimeter at NE 20th and Jordan to search the area with K-9 units and a helicopter.

After an hour of searching, no one was arrested. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.

No one was hit by the gunfire or injured.
