Ibaka scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds in his return to OKC while also adding four blocks.

With the score tied at 117-117, Ibaka dribbled the ball to the baseline, stopped to pump fake in order to throw off Steven Adams, then swished the cold-blooded jumper to silence the crowd inside of Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Despite a horrid start to the game and trailing by 21 points in the first half, this was a game the Thunder should’ve won.

OKC closed the third quarter on a 15-to-4 run that gave them a two-point lead entering the final frame, and played solid basketball for most of the fourth quarter until the final few possessions.

While Westbrook rested to open the fourth, Orlando built up a 96-90 lead before OKC’s all-star point guard checked back into the game. Westbrook banked in a jumper, then quickly found Joffrey Lauvergne for a pair of three-point baskets to tie the game at 98-98.

Westbrook continued his domination down the stretch, finding Andre for a fast break layup, connecting with Lauvergne for yet another money ball, then knocking down a few more shots himself to put the Thunder up 111-109.

It appeared the Thunder was in great position when Enes Kanter came away with a steal and assisted Victor Oladipo on a fastbreak layup to go up 113-109, but Orlando closed out the game on a 10-to-4 run fueled by three-pointers from both Elfrid Payton and Evan Fournier.

Westbrook recorded his third triple-double of the season in the loss, scoring 41 points to go with 16 assists and 12 rebounds.

Four other Thunder players scored in double-digits with Kanter adding 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Andre Roberson tallied 14 points while Steven Adams added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Oladipo scored 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting in his first game against the team that drafted him.

The Thunder has a quick turnaround and will be back in action tomorrow night in Detroit when it takes on the Pistons at 6 p.m.
