Four more flu cases have been officially confirmed in Oklahoma according to state health officials.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health says while there has been no deaths reported due to the flu, 18 people have been hospitalized because of the illness since the flu season began last month.

The OSDH released its latest figures Thursday saying the number of counties with flu hospitalizations continues to grow.

Two weeks ago, the department reported 14 flu hospitalizations in ten counties. This week, the OSDH says there are now 18 cases in eleven counties.
