Former OU Quarterback Trevor Knight Out For Rest Of Regular Season

Posted: Updated:

Former OU and current Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight has been ruled out for the rest of the regular season due to a shoulder injury according to Aggies' head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Knight suffered the injury in the Aggies' loss to Mississippi State and could return in time for the bowl game.

In his first season as the Texas A&M gunslinger Knight has thrown for 1,911 yards and accounted for a 23 total touchdowns. Despite his troubles with accuracy at OU, Knight was a calming presence for the Aggies, and helped lead Texas A&M to a 7-0 start even though there weren't high expectations surrounding the team in the preseason.

The Aggies will now turn to either Jake Hubenak or Nick Starkel to take over under center while Knight is out.
