Residents felt quite a jolt early Saturday morning after an earthquake struck near Pawnee.

The 3.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded just before 4:40 a.m. Its epicenter was located eight miles east, southeast of Pawnee, 26 miles east, northeast of Stillwater, 32 miles west, northwest of Sand Springs, and 35 miles southeast of Ponca City.

It was about two and a half miles deep.

Around 6:52 a.m., a smaller 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck near Yale, Oklahoma.

At this time, no one has reported any damages or injuries associated with either earthquake.
