OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) approved a million-dollar settlement with Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) for the house explosion that rocked a metro neighborhood back in January 2016.

That blast near Northwest 122nd St. and Rockwell Ave. destroyed several homes, just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 2.

As part of the settlement agreement, ONG is compelled to implement remedial measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The company is also prohibited from increasing rates to recover losses incurred with the settlement.
