An Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs K-9 officer sniffed out more than 500 pounds of pot after a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 40 just east of El Reno.

OBN spokesman Mark Woodward said 35-year-old Nati Zohar was pulled over for following too closely.

Woodward said when Zohar and his 32-year-old passenger Kyra Oxborrow’s stories about where they were coming from and where they were going didn’t add up, K-9 officer “Ruff” sniffed out more than 500 pounds of pot underneath the Ford F-150s camper shell.

“We also found in the neighborhood of about $120,000 cash, as well as cash bands you may find at banks, that are totaling $8 million,” Woodward said. “So it obviously is indicative of the type of business these people run.”

Woodward said neither suspect is cooperating.

He said the seized drugs have a street value of at least $2 million.
