With all the fear surrounding the manhunt of Michael Vance, the family of the two victims was finally able to take a moment and remember the lives of Ronnie and Kay Wilkson.

The Wilkson’s funeral was held at Luther Schools’ Auditorium on Friday afternoon. The focus was not about how tragically they died. It instead honored every day that they lived.

“I don’t understand what he wants to make out of all of this, but I do know this. Everything God does and all that God allows to happen, there is a purpose behind it,” said Reverend Lane Buckley. He’s known the Wilkson’s for decades and spoke at the service.

The Wilkson’s raised a family in Luther. They had 4 children and 23 grandchildren.

The auditorium was filled with people from the community who were impacted by Ronnie and Kay. Friends think there would have been even more people if Michael Vance wasn’t still on the loose.

Law enforcement from local police departments and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office surrounded the school. There were police inside and out of the funeral.

“Remember the good times,” said Reverend Buckley.

Six days after Ronnie and Kay’s murder, the hunt for the man who took their lives continues. The 38-year-old suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous.

The U.S. Marshals Service and FBI are continuing to lead the investigation. Any tips should go to the hotline 405-256-9205 or call 911 if you see Michael Vance.
