Members of the Oklahoma City Police Department are busy preparing for their “Halloween Spooktacular” event for 100 children and their parents.

The event will take place Sunday at Tinsletown, located at 6001 N. Martin Luther King.

OKC police, community organizer, and CEO of Believe.org partnered with Joshua Hillard, Carlton Dean, Kevin Blackmon, Tayelor Doakes and Rickey Vick to put on this event in an effort to give back to the northeast OKC community and positively influence at-risk youth.

An individual theater at Tinsletown has been reserved for 100 children and some parents for the private showing of the children’s movie “Storks.”  Oklahoma City police officers and cadets will be attend the event to speak with the children and to pass out candy and books to everyone in attendance.

More than 120 children’s books were donated by Feed the Children and all of the candy was purchased by police officers and members of the media.
