PAWNEE, Oklahoma - Pawnee will play host to a community meeting about fracking led by law firm Weitz & Luxenberg of New York. 

The meeting will discuss the earthquakes in the region, how they're related to fracking, and current litigation underway. They plan to speak with residents who have been affected by earthquakes caused by corporate waste disposal practices. 

Co-hosting the meeting is the Sierra Club, the Pawnee nation, Pawnee Mayor Brad Sewell, and the Poynter Law Group. OSU Geology And Hydrogeology Professor Todd Halahan and Rep. Dennis Casey will also attend. 

The meeting will be held on Saturday, October 29, at noon, at the Pawnee Nation Roam Chief Event Center.
