Vance Victims' Funeral Arrangements Set

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Luther couple killed in their home. Their nephew, Michael Vance, is accused of murdering them. Vance is still on the run.

Ronnie and Kay Wilkson will be laid to rest on Friday in Luther. The service is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Luther Auditorium. We also know there will be added security because the man who allegedly killed them in their home is still on the run.

Michael Vance is also accused of shooting two Wellston police officers. Officer Jim Hampton was shot in the foot in what he said was an long shootout with Vance.

Hampton has an eerie warning on the alleged killer he came face to face with.

"If he's willing to do this to us, he's willing to do this to any other officer of anybody out there just to protect himself 'cause he's not going to give up without a fight. He's either going to go back to prison for life or he's going to die,” said Jim Hampton, Wellston police officer.

Police have advised you not approach Vance if you see him. Now the other officer who was shot, Shawn Stewart, is also doing OK. He was shot in both legs and is now out of the hospital.

Friday night the Wellston football team plans to honor the officers. They're asking fans to wear blue.
