Hurry-Hurry, Rush-Rush

An 8:25 flight to Atlanta, then off to Philadelphia, sounds easy enough. For the travelers out there, we all know easy doesn't come too often when hopping around the country.

I set my alarm for 6:10 this morning. My morning dose of coffee helped me push the go button through the process. I packed the day before, so no issue there.  My daughter gets up at 7:00, so I carried her downstairs to the couch to help my wife out. Her bus stop is at 7:30, but I couldn't stick around for that.  I already knew staying until 7:00 would jeopardize my trip to Will Rogers.

Living in Yukon is great, but traveling on I-40? Not so much. Unpredictable sums up that highway anytime of the day. I rolled up to Morgan road and I-40 turned into a parking lot. PANIC!

I hit a few red lights (you know-the aggravating ones) once I exited the parking lot, so by the time I rolled into the USA parking lot it was 7:40 on the clock, my plane leaves at 8:25. Being a repeat costumer possibly saved me from missing the plane, the shuttle bus picked me up immediately and rushed me to Will Rogers.

The fine folks at Southwest pushed my two bags through even though I was a late checkin, being a repeat customer with SW probably helped that process too.  I hit Gate 14 just as pre-board was beginning, made it, WHEW!

The fun-exciting-nerve racking travel grind has officially started.

Go Thunder!
