Canadian County Man Accused Of Assaulting Teen He Was Babysitting

EL RENO, Oklahoma -

A Canadian County man is facing multiple child sex complaints after allegedly assaulting a teen girl for whom he was supposed to be chaperoning.

The sheriff’s office began investigating after the victim’s parents called regarding the alleged assault perpetrated by 26-year-old Francisco Espinoza. That same day investigators met with the victim, who told them Espinoza had forced himself upon her on three different occasions.

During the investigation, authorities learned that Espinoza was a trusted friend of the family, and that the victim’s parents asked him to watch over their daughter while they went to visit sick relative out of town. The alleged assaults occurred over that weekend, Oct. 14-15.

“This is a classic example of a sexual assault on a child by someone who knows the victim, manipulates the relationship, and then carries out their sick fantasy scarring the life of the innocent child forever,” said Chris West, Canadian County Undersheriff.

Before making the arrest, undercover investigators contacted Espinoza on social media pretending to be the victim. During the conversation, investigators say Espinoza spoke about the assault, telling the girl not to worry about getting pregnant and saying that she “performed above his expectations.”

“By Espinoza’s own admissions to my investigators on social media he has confessed to the crimes alleged by the victim,” said West

Espinoza was arrested in the El Reno Walmart parking lot, and transported the Canadian County Jail where he was booked on two counts of Lewd Acts with a Child under the Age of Sixteen, and one count of Rape in the Second Degree.  Bond was set at $220,000.
