It has been more than 24 hours since a man went on the run after going on a crime spree in central Oklahoma.
The man, Michael Vance, is accused of killing two people and injuring four others, including two Wellston police officers.
One of Vance’s alleged carjacking victims told News 9 he and his pregnant wife are lucky to be alive.
Jonathan Chouinard said Vance accosted him and his wife at Bear Creek Mobile Home Park shortly after investigators say Vance shot two Wellston police officers.
Chouinard said he initially thought Vance — who was toting an AK-47 -- was a police officer.
“We’re lucky and blessed. I mean God was on our side. There were angels or something, because you seen I just seen that video and that gives me chills,” he said.
Shortly before Vance carjacked Chouinard, he shot two menacing videos on Facebook Live.
Investigators think Vance later stabbed his aunt and uncle to death at their home in Luther, before stealing their car.
Law enforcement officials have established a hotline to deal specifically with tips regarding the search for Vance. That hotline number is (405) 246-9205 and will be manned 24/7 by U.S. Marshals.
