The Oklahoma Corrections Board approved a one-time stipend Tuesday for department employees.
Each Department of Corrections employee who's been working there for more than six months is scheduled to receive a $1,750 bonus.
That money is part of the $10.16 million the department received last month after a state revenue failure earlier this year.
Employees who have been working for the agency for less than six months will receive their stipend after they reach the six-month mark.
The agency has more than 4000 employees and those who qualify can expect their benefit by Thanksgiving.
