I-35 NB Reopens At Hefner In OKC After Vehicle Fire

Crews have cleaned up a commercial vehicle fire that closed all lanes of northbound I-35 at Hefner Rd. early Monday. 

A truck hauling pallets of chicken ignited after its brakes got too hot. The driver tried to put it out himself but to no avail. 

The fire burned through the fuel line, causing a fuel spill that will take a while to clean up. 

I-35 was down to one lane as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes reopened just before 9 a.m.
