CUSHING, Oklahoma -

A traffic stop in Cushing, Oklahoma led police to a woman wanted in California for abducting a child.

According to police, an officer stopped a car in the 2000 block of E. Main Street for speeding in a school zone around 1:20 p.m. Friday. Dispatch informed the officer that the vehicle information was connected to a child abduction from California.

Inside the vehicle was a male driver, a female passenger identified as Jaimee Finley, and an infant girl safe in the backseat.

Police say Finley is accused of abducting her infant daughter. She was arrested for a California warrant of Child Stealing.

Finley’s daughter is now in DHS custody.
