Medford Boy, 5, Dies After Being Hit By Pickup

Posted: Updated:

A 5-year-old boy is dead after being hit by an oncoming pickup truck in Pond Creek Tuesday afternoon.

The boy was sitting on a private driveway on the downhill side of a built-up railroad crossing. The truck's driver, Marvin Bules, 85, was driving on the same private driveway and when he came over the top of that hill, struck the boy.

The boy was taken to the hospital in nearby Enid where he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

Bules condition while driving was apparently normal.
