Thunder big man Steven Adams is expected to be a major key to the team's success this upcoming season, which makes his availability following his ankle injury an important topic of discussion.

Adams sprained his ankle in the Thunder's preseason loss to Real Madrid on Monday, forcing him to sit out of the next preseason game against Barcelona along with Saturday's practice. While the Thunder don't seem too worried about the injury, they still haven't announced a timetable for his return.

Adams totaled seven points in nine minutes of action before the injury occurred, and the New Zealand native is expected to have a much bigger role on both offense and defense with the departure of Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka in the offseason.
