Cleveland County Warns Of New Phone Scam

Posted: Updated:
NORMAN, Oklahoma -

If you get a phone call from 405-293-4094, don't listen to whoever is on the other side.

The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office says that number is a spoof number meant to scam call recipients. They say it doesn't belong to any actual business or individual.

A reported call will ask questions to gain additional personal information and also provide a fake court case number and a return phone number of 855-403-4035. The 855 area code number does belong to a legitimate business in California. Detectives contacted the business and they do not believe that business has any knowledge or association with the caller.

If you are a victim of this scam, please report it to police as soon as possible.
