Four cars collided in an early morning wreck near Rockwell and SW 44th St. in Oklahoma City.
The crash involved pedestrians as well. Four people have been transported to the hospital, some with injuries described as "catastrophic."
The crash happened at about 4:45 a.m. A pickup truck was east bound on 44th and stopped to make a left turn and was rear-ended by a car. Both drivers got out to talk and another truck rear-ended the car, shoving the vehicles into oncoming traffic and causing a head-on collision, which resulted in both people from the original crash being hit.
Both are in critical condition at this time. Police have not released their names.
Rockwell will be closed for most of the morning, so drivers are asked to avoid the area.
