Crimson and Cream Cookies

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 6 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Nielsen Massey chocolate extract
  • 1 egg
  • Cream cheese frosting
  • Sprinkles
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl beat together the cake mix, softened butter, sour cream, cocoa powder, chocolate extract and egg till a dough forms.
  3. Using a cookie scoop, place cookies on the baking sheet and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Cool thoroughly and then frost with cream cheese frosting and decorate.
