Paul Bianchi, 52, has been the junior ROTC instructor at John Marshall since 2008. He was even Teacher of the Year there in 2012. Now he is currently on paid administrative leave after he was arrested on Friday, accused of sexual battery.

Jail records show Bianchi was booked into the Oklahoma County jail at 9 p.m. on Friday night and was released 24 hours later after posting a $5,000 bond.

Bianchi was one of nine finalists up for district teacher of the year for Oklahoma City Public Schools. The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools posted a video back in April of that year.

"I think that the teaching has become more of a calling," said Bianchi during in the video clip. "I really believe that God opened the door for me to be here."

At one point during the video he teared up, talking about one of his special needs students who had joined the junior ROTC.

"No Matter what the challenges are, there are always kids who make it so worthwhile."

But now this highly-regarded instructor is accused of going too far with one of his students.

According to a police report filed on Friday, a 16-year-old student told officers Bianchi touched her inside John Marshall high school on Wednesday September 12. The teenager said she is a part of the junior ROTC honor guard and told officers that she attended after school honor guard practice that Wednesday and asked if Bianchi, who was her instructor, could give her a ride home.

She says he told her to wait for him inside his classroom and that's where she went and laid her head down on a desk. She told officers Bianchi started massaging her neck and body and then she says he groped her breast.

She says he also closed the classroom door and turned out the lights - and when she asked him what was going on, he said he'd better stop before he does something foolish.

The report states he then drove the teenager home and even called her cell phone later to check up on her.

Detectives arrested Bianchi at the school two days later after the teenager finally reported the incident to campus police.
