Oklahoma State dropped to 2-2 after falling to No. 16 Baylor 35-24 Saturday night in Waco at McLane Stadium.

The Bears struck first to take a quick 6-0 lead with a touchdown run from Terence Williams. And After a lengthy lightning delay, the PAT was good and Baylor led 7-0 just minutes in the first quarter.

Oklahoma State answered back with an end zone appearance from Justice Hill after a fumble recovery by Tanner Morgan to tie the game 7-all.

Both teams played tough defense through the remainder of the first quarter and the opening of the second, holding each other at one touchdown. That was until Baylor reclaimed the lead on an assist from Lynx Hawthorne.

But OSU knotted the game back up after Rennie Childs capped a seven-minute drive with a rushing touchdown.

But once again, the Bears clawed another lead when Seth Russell connected with Ishmael Zamora to help Baylor carry a 21-14 advantage into halftime.

Oklahoma State tied the game again with a second rushing touchdown from Childs to cap an impressive 75-yard scoring drive.

Baylor's Chris Platt stepped up for his team when he took advantage of the Cowboys wide formation and scored on a huge 89-yard reception to put Baylor back on top, 28-21.

At this point, OSU needed to stop turning the ball over and the secondary needed to tighten up and better contain Baylor's receivers.

The Cowboys threatened to tie up the game again but a deep ball from Mason Rudolph to Jalen McCleskey slipped through his hands a couple yards shy of the end zone. A 27-yard field goal from Ben Grogan then trimmed the Bear's lead 28-24.

After threatening again, down to the two, Hill's dropped ball was ruled a fumble. Baylor recovered it at its own one and took advantage of the scoring opportunity, advancing its lead 35-24 with 5:14 left in the final quarter.

The Bears held onto their lead to win and remain perfect (4-0).
