Gov. Mary Fallin's disapproval rating continues to climb, putting her in the top 10 of the nation's least popular governors.

Morning Consult polled more than 70,000 voters across the country up through last week. They were simply asked if they approved or disapproved of their governor's job performance.

Fifty-three percent of Oklahomans polled said they disapprove of the job Fallin is doing, making her -- according to the poll -- the 9th most unpopular governor in the country.

Forty percent approve of her performance, which is quite a drop. Slightly less than a year ago, 50 percent approved of her performance, just 41 percent disapproved.

And then, go back to her first term, a year into her tenure as Governor, January 2012, 69 percent approved of the job she was doing, only 16 percent disapproved.

How does Fallin's 53 percent disapproval compare to the rest? Well, the least popular governor, with a disapproval rating of 71 percent, is Kansas's Gov. Sam Brownback.

Dan Malloy of Connecticut is second at 70 percent, and Chris Christie, New Jersey, is third least popular, at 68 percent disapproval.

The lowest disapproval rating goes to South Dakota's Dennis Daugaard at 15 percent. He's followed by Maryland's Larry Hogan, 17 percent, and Massachusetts' Charlie Baker at 18 percent.

This poll doesn't ask respondents to explain why they feel the way they do. This is just a sort of thumbs up or thumbs down quick assessment.
