Let's take a closer look at a pair of marquee matchups for this Friday's high school football games.

3A No. 7 Plainview (3-0) at 4A No. 3 Tuttle (2-0)

Plainview's defense has allowed a grand total of 27 points while putting up an average of 44 points through their first three games. Indians senior quarterback Kobe Brewster headlines the offense while getting support on the ground from junior running back Eli Paul. Paul leads the team with 290 yards rushing so far this season with Brewster chipping in 229 yards.

Tuttle is led by senior quarterback Rhett Boles who lit up Kingfisher in week one for 177 yards and three touchdowns. The Tigers will spread the ball around but the focus of the game will be on their rush attack with running backs Keith Traylor (senior) and Ethan Glass (junior.) Traylor and Glass account for 72 percent of their rushing output through their first two games.

Prediction: Tuttle 26-21

6A-I No. 5 Norman North (2-0) at 6A-I No. 8 Edmond Santa Fe (3-0)

Santa Fe uses a two-quarterback system right now with senior Julian getting most of the snaps but switching it up every now and then with sophomore Kanan Hansen. It seems to be working as they're completing nearly 60 percent of their attempts and averaging 250 yards a game. Senior Davian Bowler gets most of the looks. Bowler has the ability to break off a big play almost at will.

Norman North has replaced senior running back workhorse Quan Hogan with a stable of different option out of the backfield. Their offense feeds off senior quarterback Brandon Marquardt. He's tossed 6 touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception. With an 80 percent completion percentage, Marquardt can thread the ball into tight coverage.

Prediction: Norman North 41-27
