OKC Teenager Competes In Olympic Hopes Games

Oklahoma City kayaker Bria Cornforth is traveling a long way to compete against some of the best in the world.

Cornforth is heading to Hungary on Thursday for the Olympic Hopes Games, where the top teenage kayakers in the world will compete against each other.

"Right now, I'm just really excited to go compete over there,” Cornforth said. “And it's really cool to experience the other cultures around. That's one of my favorite parts about kayaking, you get to travel the world and meet all these new friends across the world and experience their culture and food."

Her goal is to make the U.S. Olympic team in the next 10 years.

Cornforth has been spending the past few months raising money for the trip.
