A standoff situation in southeast Oklahoma City has ended after police discovered the suspect was not inside a home at which they were attempting to serve a search warrant.

According to police, at about 7:20 a.m. officers responded to the incident at a home in the 8100 block of Timothy Lane. Police learned that a male suspect armed with a gun kicked down a door to the home and threatened to kill the family inside.

It’s unclear at this time if the suspect took anything from the home.

The suspect is described as a black male who stands about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants and blue Nike shoes. He reportedly left the scene in a red Dodge Charger with black stripes on each side of the car.

Police said Friday afternoon that they believe the suspect is inside of a house in the 4400 block of Lunow Drive. So they responded to the area to serve a warrant for the suspect, who is now wanted on complaints of first-degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon.

Sunnylane Rd. is shut down in both directions between S.E. 49th to S.E. 56th.

Police have not released the suspect's name at this time.
