Pure drinking water for all Tulsans and better access to it.

That’s the goal of Tulsan Noah Roberts, who will be opening up his new business, The Water Co. in The Boxyard in Tulsa’s East Village.

“Tulsa is going through this economic and cultural renaissance and I think the city is ready for it,” Roberts said.

People will be able to have their water tested on site, schedule water delivery or buy water systems.

These drinking stations won’t just be in places like apartments or office spaces. They hope to have hundreds of them across the city in parks like at the Guthrie Green.

“You have to go to places like Portland or Seattle or New England – college campuses to see this is already becoming mainstream. We want to make this mainstream right here in Middle America,” Roberts said.

The Water Co. will pair up with Culligan of Tulsa to also help provide new filters and water stations to schools, churches, restaurants and bars.

“Tulsa is growing. The young people have really come on board. And with the movement toward downtown and the apartments, we  just thought it was a great opportunity,” said Mike Bannister of Culligan of Tulsa.

And a perfect test market for an idea they believe Tulsa will really embrace.
