Metro Murder Victim's Family Seeks Answers

Rhonda Parrish is trying to remember the good times.

"I remember so many times he came picking me up and twirling me around telling me, ‘I love you momma. I love you momma.’” Parrish recalled, fighting back tears, “I'm never going to have that again."

David Weideman, 28, was killed early Sunday morning, shot at his home in the 2400 block of Northwest 32nd Street.

"His uncle came out and found him on the floor. His uncle held him and said boy don't you go to sleep. He looked up and said uncle. That's all he said," said Parrish.

The family said police tell them Weideman was set up by a woman he met on Facebook; that she and a friend showed up at his place to rob and kill him. That woman, 26-year-old Tempestt Williams, turned herself into police Thursday. The man who police believe pulled the trigger, 28-year-old Michael Tyrone Webb Junior, came to the News 9 studios Thursday night to turn himself in.

Both are being held on first degree murder and robbery complaints.

Weideman's family wants to know why someone would kill him over a few hundred bucks.  

"He’s my big brother. I just want him back,” said Ashley Burris. “It's not fair. There's nothing my brother could have done. There's nothing my brother could have said that's worth this."

Mrs. Parrish said she just wants answers.

"Why'd you have to kill my boy?” she asked.  “I'm a God fearing woman and I know I have to forgive them but I can’t do that right now. I can't do that. You took my boy's life over some stupid a** money."
