On Thursday, Oklahoma City Police arrested a man near May Ave. and I-240 in a suspected case of road rage.

“Yeah, he hit from here all the way down,” said Kenneth Ramsey Jr., who now has to take his truck in for repairs.

The damage to Ramsey’s truck is pretty extensive - from a bent rim, to a scratched side door, to a bent in front end. Ramsey said all this happened when he was just trying to merge onto I-240 early Thursday morning. Ramsey said at first he thought it was just an accident, but when the driver took off without stopping, he followed him. Ramsey said he was not going to be a victim of hit and run.

“He stopped real hard on the highway twice, because I was behind him with my camera,” said Ramsey.

Kenneth managed to snap a shot of the car and license plate on his phone. But he said that just seemed to enrage the driver even more as he sped down the highway.

“He almost hit other cars and was honking and all that,” said Ramsey. “I go this is crazy! He is crazy!”

Ramsey said the driver even slammed on his breaks to try to get Ramsey to rear end him! He finally caught up with the driver near the May Avenue exit.

“He had two flat tires,” said Ramsey.

What floors Ramsey even more is not just that the driver tried to get away, but that he tried to keep him from taking a picture of his tag and car! And almost hit him in the process!

“He puts it in reverse and bam,” said Ramsey, as he explained how he was able to keep from getting pinned in between the two cars.

Fortunately, another person witnessed the road rage incident and called 911. When police arrived they were able to arrest Jarred Scott Jackson, 32, of Oklahoma City at the scene.

But Ramsey said he’s praying for him, and forgives him for what happened.

“God always say forgive you know,” said Ramsey. “That's why I forgive him.”

Jackson was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently out on a $5,000 bond.
