Crews Douse Fire At Midwest City Nursing Home

Crews were able to quickly extinguish a fire at a Midwest City nursing home, Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the Specialty Hospital of Midwest City, located in the 8200 block of National Ave., near the intersection of Reno Ave. and N. Midwest Blvd.

According to reports, smoke and flames were coming from a laundry room at the facility. Once on scene fire crews were able to quickly get a handle on the situation. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and there has not been a damage estimate.

The facility was briefly evacuated due to the fire. There have been no reports of injuries.
