Owasso Police took a 17-year-old into custody Wednesday morning after a brief lockdown at the high school campus.

Deputy Chief Jason Woodruff  say at about 11:15 a.m. they got a call about a former mid-high student with a gun at the campus in the 12900 block of East 86th Street North.

The school was immediately placed on lockdown.

Officers arrived, located the teen and found he did not have a gun, but had a knife and an expandable baton.    Woodruff said the 17 year old was arrested on complaints of possessing a weapon on school property and assault with a dangerous weapon.

The high school lifted the lockdown at 11:45 a.m.
