Child Injured After Being Hit By Car In SW OKC

A child was injured after being hit by a car in southwest Oklahoma City, Tuesday morning.

According to police, it happened at S.W. 44th and Blackwelder. The 6-year-old boy was walking to school when he reportedly slipped off the curb. That's when a car hit him, the child's mother told News 9.

The child was awake and crying when he was being taken to the hospital. His mother told News 9 that he had bumps on his head and elbow.
