Your 2 Cents: Mixed Reaction To New OK License Plate Design

Not a huge fan of the new license plate that rolled out this week. It doesn't really say "Oklahoma" to me, it says Twitter in fact to my eye.

I asked if you like it and what you would have put on the new tag. Lots of you sounded off, Jamey in Arcadia says it lacks the wow factor, "A design that mixes Native American, natural resources, wildlife and sports would have better hit the mark."

Kelsie says, "I think it's a bit tacky to have a website on the license plate - that stands out way more than the picture."

A lot of you, like Chris from Ardmore, didn't like the Tourism website on it. "Should have to pay me to put that useless advertisement on my car!" exclaimed Chris.

Rob likes it. “The state hit a homerun on this one. If anyone doesn't like it, keep in mind, it is a bit similar to Kentucky,” he said.

It reminded Elaina of the “Hunger Games”, "The one we already have is great! This is too much like the cover of Mocking Jay.”

Mary asks, "Is there anyone outside the state that will recognize the design? How many in state?"

Finally, LaVonda writes, "Like the idea of a beautiful Okla. sunset. I will have to admit the scissor tail on the tag looks a lot better than the one downtown on I-40."

She's talking about the SkyDance Bridge.
