An Oklahoma County man is accused of victimizing two young girls for almost a decade.

Court papers reveal this involves both sexual and physical abuse and his wife reportedly ignored the girl's cries for help.

The Sheriff identifies the couple as Donald Edward McCord, 49, and Michelle Diane McCord, 50, both of Jones.

Donald McCord is being held at the Oklahoma County jail on a $500,000 bond. He is charged with more than 30 felony counts, including 11 counts of rape and 21 counts of sexual abuse of a child.

Michelle McCord is charged with 4 felony counts, including permitting sexual abuse to occur, failure to report the sexual abuse of a child, and child neglect.

Court papers reveal the Jones police department first got a tip about the alleged abuse on August 3rd and immediately started investigating. They questioned Donald McCord at his work and his wife Michelle at their home. They also interviewed all the children who lived in the couple's home.

“During that interview he began to minimize the allegations against him,” said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel. “However, at the same time he was being interviewed, the two girls were being interviewed at the care center.”

The Sheriff says Donald McCord later took full responsibility and admitted he did inappropriate things with the victims.

Court papers state two of the children told investigators they had been both physically and sexually abused for nearly a decade while they lived with the McCords inside this rural home near Wilshire Blvd. and Peebly Road. They claim they were sexually abused on almost a daily basis.

One of them told investigators Donald McCord would choke her and threaten to kill her if she reported him and the other said she was choked to the point of unconsciousness.

Court papers state when the girls told Michelle McCord about the abuse, it stopped but was never reported.

Court papers state Michelle called a meeting with the children and suggested placing locks on their doors to stop the sexual abuse but told the children no one could report it because of financial reasons.

“She was more interested in paying the bills than the safety of the victims,” said Sheriff Whetsel. “This is a sexual abuse case of horrific proportions.”

Both the victims and the McCord’s biological children are currently in protective custody while the investigation continues.

Michelle McCord turned herself into Oklahoma County Jail on Wednesday morning.
