Man Dies From Apparent Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound Near Oklahoma County Jail

Oklahoma City police confirm that a man has died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound near the Oklahoma County Jail Monday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the incident just before 7 a.m. in front of the jail, located at 201 N. Shartel.

Police have not identified the man, only saying that he was a county jail employee.
