Tulsa Police said someone driving though a neighborhood shot and killed a woman's dog Tuesday morning. The dog was in the woman's yard behind a chain link fence.

A neighbor in an addition near West Pine Street and North Union Avenue heard the shot or shots fired a little after 6:30 a.m., according to police. The vehicle was westbound on Newton.

The 82-year-old woman that owns the dog was visibly distraught and told police she had had it for several years. Officers said they don't know of any reason for the crime.
