DURANT, Oklahoma - Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies are looking for an armed suspect wanted in connection to a shooting in Durant, Oklahoma, Monday.

Bryan County Sheriff’s office posted to its official Facebook page at about 3 a.m. that a manhunt is underway for an armed suspect in the N. Sawmill Road area. The department has not released the suspect's identity at this time. No description is available. 

The Sheriff’s office said one person has been shot in Durant. Deputies have taken one additional suspect into custody.

Bryan County deputies, Air-1, police officers from Durant, Calera and Bennington, as well as Tribal police officers are involved in the manhunt.

The search became even more dangerous for officers, as Copperhead snakes were spotted in the wooded areas.
