Report: OU Cornerback Jordan Thomas Won't Face Charges From June Arrest

Posted: Updated:

After over a month of speculation, OU starting cornerback Jordan Thomas won't be charged following an arrest in June, according to SoonerScoop.com

Thomas was booked in the Cleveland County Jail at 2:45 a.m. on June 30 for an altercation at a bar on Campus Corner, and was facing charges of public intoxication, interference with official process, and complaint of assault and battery.

SoonerScoop is also reporting that Thomas will not be suspended for any games because of the events.

This is good news for the Sooner defense, who lost cornerback Zack Sanchez to the NFL, and would've been short handed against a very good Houston team if Thomas were to have been suspended for the opener. Thomas is one of the better defensive backs in the country, and

Thomas totaled five interceptions last season to go with 46 tackles and four pass breakups, and his performance was good enough to garner a spot on the Preseason All Big 12 First Team heading into this year.
