Jones Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Two Girls For Years
OKLAHOMA CITY - A Jones man is behind bars facing multiple charges for child sex crimes for alleged assaults on two young girls stemming back to 2007.
Donald Edward McCord, 49, was arrested on Aug. 3 after police received a tip about the two girls being sexually abused.
Officers detained McCord at his job and took him in for questioning. At the same time, other officers met with the two alleged victims, ages 14 and 17, and brought them into protective custody.
According to a report, McCord initially played down the allegations, stating he only “swatted the girls on the behind”.
The 14-year-old told investigators that McCord groomed them to say that they were only swatted on the behind if they were ever questioned. The young victim then went into graphic detail of being sexually abused, assaulted and degraded by McCord since 2007 and as recently as July.
When police confronted McCord about what the 14-year-old had told them, the reports stated he took full responsibility for the crimes. Investigators say McCord would not go into detail about the crimes because “he did not want to relive it”.
McCord was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on seven counts of First-Degree Rape by Instrumentation of a Minor and two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child. Bond was set at $370,000 for each count.
